Welder

Soudure Montérégie is looking for a reliable, self-sufficient, and quality-conscious welder-assembler to join its team.

The selected candidate will participate in the manufacturing and assembly of various metal structures and components in *steel and aluminum*. They will need to be able to work from plans, prepare their pieces, and check the conformity of their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mainly perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum;
• Read and interpret manufacturing plans;
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare pieces;
• Assemble components according to the specified dimensions;
• Adjust pieces before welding;
• Perform clean, solid, and compliant welds;
• Use cutting, grinding, and drilling equipment;
• Check the dimensions and quality of assemblies;
• Correct non-compliant pieces when necessary;
• Handle materials and prepare orders;
• Maintain their workstation and equipment;
• Follow work methods and safety rules;
• Occasionally participate in on-site installations, as needed.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Relevant experience in welding and assembly;
• Good mastery of the MIG process;
• Ability to work with steel and, ideally, aluminum;
• Ability to read plans and use measuring instruments;
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail;
• Autonomy and problem-solving skills;
• Punctuality, reliability, and good work attitude;
• Ability to work alone or in a team;
• Ability to perform physical work and handle metal pieces;
• Constant respect for quality and safety requirements.
• ASSETS
• DEP in welding-assembly;
• Welding cards or certifications;
• Experience in metalworking;
• Valid driver's license.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who does not just perform a weld. The candidate must understand the overall assembly, check their work, and be able to progress towards more autonomy and responsibilities.

Salary: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
