YOUR ROLE
What will be your impact or role as a Payroll and Budget Analyst at ÉTS?
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, plan, organize, coordinate, and control activities related to financial, budgetary, and administrative management. Advise applicants on payroll and budget matters, and perform financial analyses to make decisions.
On a daily basis, you will
- Plan and prepare various budgets; analyze budgetary results and control their application according to budgetary rules.
- Perform detailed analyses of payroll, tax, financial, reconciliation, account reconciliation, and information collection during internal and external audits.
- Plan, calculate, and analyze the various salary retroactivities applicable during the year.
- Assist the immediate supervisor in developing priorities for the development of all services offered, as well as in preparing, managing, and controlling operating budgets.
- Ensure control and vigilance regarding the application of various collective agreements with the concerned administrative units.
- Ensure the processing and compliance of payroll in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
- Prepare various periodic and annual reports, reconcile and analyze the results obtained within the framework of the fiscal or financial exercise.
- Establish, in collaboration with the Human Resources Service, the compliance of deductions related to the School's obligations towards the Université du Québec retirement regime.
- Analyze source deduction accounts, follow up on arrears accounts, and propose appropriate solutions, if necessary.
- Ensure the maintenance of the staffing plan according to the budgetary planning.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in administration or another appropriate discipline.
Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in accounting, administration, or any other relevant field.

- You have good communication skills both orally and in writing in French.
- You attach great importance to customer satisfaction and strive to offer a positive experience by meeting their needs.
- Contribute to achieving common goals by your team spirit and ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues.
- Have knowledge of laws and regulations applicable in the field of payroll and budgetary rules in a university environment, an asset.
- You master computer tools, such as the office suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
