The La Malbaie office is composed of a diverse, cohesive, dynamic, and welcoming team. We are six full-time employees, including three who use their winter evenings to ski at Sources Joyeuses. We have the flexibility of telecommuting, but the majority are in the office four days a week, which facilitates the feeling of belonging to the group. • Division's Mission

The Management Unit of ... serves as the entry point for the client and population for the Regional Operations sector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests.

Its role is to carry out the mandates entrusted to it in forest management, including planning, approval, consultation, implementation, and tracking of interventions in public forests.

• Daily Work

Under the supervision of the Contract Management and Planning Officer, the successful candidate will participate in tracking the implementation of forest operations in public forests as well as various activities related to the planning of non-commercial forestry work. Responsibilities include:

• Implementing various tracking in connection with the Regulation on Sustainable Forest Management of State Domain (RADF);
• Participating in the preparation of the regional control plan for commercial work;
• Participating in the planning of non-commercial forestry work;
• Ensuring the proper functioning of the management unit office through various files.
• Compensation

Your annual salary could range between $47,119 and $66,112.

The remuneration is determined based on the relevance of your years of education and experience, which are evaluated in connection with the job. Therefore, it is important to detail them well in your application, which will serve as a reference.

The hired person may be authorized to telecommute up to a maximum of two days per week.

Desired Profile and Application Procedures

Will be considered as assets

• Any experience as a field technologist (entrepreneur, guarantee of supply beneficiary, Quebec government, etc.);
• Good knowledge of the Charlevoix and Lower Saguenay regions;
• Any experience in forest planning;
• Intermediate experience in geomatics using ArcGIS PRO software;
• Intermediate knowledge of computer systems and the Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Job Requirements

• Hold a College Diploma (DEC) in a program focused on natural resources, forest technology, forest resource management, or forest environment.

The application of a person who is in the process of completing the final year of the required education to obtain the required diploma may be considered.

A person who does not possess the required relevant education can compensate each missing year of education with one year of relevant education of equal or higher level than that required. The application of a person who holds a non-relevant college diploma combined with one year of relevant post-secondary education may also be considered.

The candidate who does not possess the required relevant education can compensate each missing year of relevant education with two years of relevant work experience.

For consideration, any education completed outside Canada must be subject to a comparative evaluation (equivalence certificate) issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI).

Candidates who have studied outside Canada must provide a comparative evaluation of their studies, as a candidate who does not have the comparative evaluation related to the required education cannot be pre-selected.

• Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a work permit issued by the federal authority competent to occupy a position in the public service of Quebec.

A person awaiting proof of permanent resident status or a work permit may submit their application to the present selection process. However, they must be authorized to work in Canada at the time of their appointment.

• Have appropriate French language skills for the functions.
