Schedule: The internship schedule is established in the agreement (between 14 and 35 hours per week)

Work arrangement: Hybrid remote work is possible, depending on organizational benchmarks.

Our great mission: The Secretariat of the Treasury Board is the administrative apparatus of the Treasury Board. It supports the activities of the latter and assists its president in the exercise of their functions as well as the government in its responsibilities as an employer. It supports and guides government ministries and public organizations in the implementation of government orientations in terms of state resource management and performance.

About us

The Subsecretariat for Budgetary Policies and Programs supports the Treasury Board in the planning, analysis, and monitoring of the government's expenditure budget. It evaluates the projects of ministries and organizations, formulates recommendations, and contributes to rigorous financial resource management of the state.

The Direction of Budgetary Analysis and Strategies has the mandate to design asynchronous training, particularly in the form of self-training. It also proposes technological and pedagogical solutions to support content and facilitate learning.

Here’s what your daily internship would look like:

On a daily basis, you will design, using tools like Storyline and Vyond, asynchronous training and information capsules from scenarimages provided by content experts. You will analyze these scenarimages to transform them into interactive and engaging content. You will propose technopédagogical solutions to support learning, while accompanying and advising trainers in the choice of teaching modes and approaches to maximize knowledge retention. Finally, you will ensure the integration of content on BRIO and their updates.

Salary scale: For remuneration purposes only, the tasks related to the internship are paired with the employment class of socio-economic research and planning agent and the minimum hourly rate is $27.19. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.

Desired profile and application modalities

Here are some elements we are looking for:

• Good mastery of tools for designing asynchronous training such as Storyline and Vyond
• Strong interest in pedagogy and innovative learning approaches
• Experience or interest in accompanying and advising trainers
• Good understanding of pedagogical design principles and learning retention

Requirements to perform an internship

• *In addition to matching the desired profile, you must:*
• Be enrolled in a 2nd cycle education or educational technology program.
• Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Have appropriate French language skills for the functions.
