General Information A student position is available at the Disability and Occupational Injury Management Service, located at 1701 Parthenais Street, Montreal.
IMPORTANT
To hold a student position in the public service, you must be enrolled full-time in a study program (or part-time if you are in the penultimate or final session of your study program).
Here’s what your daily work might look like
- Perform various administrative tasks, including opening absence folders for illness and work accident and occupational disease cases.
- Provide support to advisors and technicians in administration by preparing medical files.
- Conduct first-level follow-up of absence folders for illness or work accident and occupational disease cases.
- Update the database of active files and contribute to statistical data collection.
- Support the supervisor and team leader in the daily management of the service.
- Compensation, Schedule, and Working Conditions
We offer a minimum hourly rate of $21.65. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.
Additionally, in addition to working during the day, Monday to Friday, the position allows for a flexible schedule, promoting the balance between your work, studies, and personal life, with adapted hours:
- Regular schedule of 14 hours/week during study sessions;
- Schedule of 21 hours/week during reading weeks;
- Schedule of 35 hours/week during the summer and holiday periods.
Hybrid remote work is possible, depending on organizational tags.
Furthermore, at the end of your studies and under certain conditions, you may participate in a special selection process to access regular or occasional employment.

Requirements to hold the student position
- Be enrolled full-time (or part-time if you are in the penultimate or final session of your study program), in one of the following fields of study, or in any other field deemed relevant.
- + Professional Studies Diploma (DEP), Administration;

The appointment to this position is conditional upon the results of a security check to demonstrate that no concerning elements regarding your morals are incompatible with the functions and duties of this position.
