Mission

The CPTAQ is an organization directly under the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Since 1978, it has been tasked with ensuring, for future generations, a territory conducive to the practice and development of agricultural activities. To this end, it protects the agricultural territory and contributes to introducing this objective at the heart of the concerns of the community. The CPTAQ bases its action on the values of equity, respect, transparency, impartiality and coherence.

Context:

The DAC is composed of several multidisciplinary teams. More specifically, it is responsible for the first-line service to the clientele, the service dedicated to responding to access to information requests as well as to requests for copies of files and it oversees the activities of the general administration (financial, material and human resources).

Here’s what your daily routine will look like

  • Respond to requests regarding access to information and the protection of personal information by applying principles of respect and equity and ensuring that decision-making projects comply with the Law;
  • Ensure the complete processing and follow-up of access to information requests received while ensuring compliance with the Law;
  • Provide technical support to respond to requests for copies of files;
  • Collaborate with the coordinator/responsible for access to information to define the decision-making context to be prioritized;
  • Work in collaboration with the Legal Affairs Directorate (DAJ) when required.

Remuneration: From $47,119 to $66,112*

  • The remuneration is determined based on the relevance of your education and experience in relation to the position. Therefore, it is important to detail them well in your application form which will serve as a reference.

Job Requirements and Application Process

Job Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in administrative techniques or any other relevant technical college diploma or a relevant study certificate whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;

+ The candidacy of a person who is in the process of completing the last year of studies required for the acquisition of the required diploma may be considered; + Each missing year of studies can be compensated by one year of relevant post-secondary studies of equal or higher level than those required.

+ The required diploma can also be compensated by a non-relevant DEC combined with one year of relevant post-secondary studies, or by a non-relevant DEC and six years of relevant experience acquired in a position of immediately lower, technical or professional level; + For consideration, any studies completed outside of Canada must be subject to a comparative evaluation (equivalence certificate) issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration;

  • Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority to hold a position in the Quebec public service;

+ A person awaiting proof of permanent resident status or a work permit may submit their candidacy to the present selection process. However, they must be authorized to work legally in Canada at the time of their appointment;

  • Have appropriate knowledge of French for the functions.
  • Desired Profile:

Knowledge of the Act on Access to Public Organization Documents and the Protection of Personal Information as well as Article 15 of the Act on the Protection of the Agricultural Territory and Agricultural Activities (LPTAA).
