The Night Shift Worker is responsible for ensuring the monitoring and security of users with mental health issues during the night shift from midnight to 8:00 AM.
Since users are generally resting during the night, the position also includes several housekeeping tasks and administrative responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor users during the night
- Intervene as needed with users
- Administer medication as required (PRN), in accordance with established procedures
- Perform housekeeping of common areas:
- Floors (common areas only, excluding user rooms)
- Complete cleaning of bathrooms (showers, toilets, sinks)
- Perform any other related housekeeping tasks
- Write a detailed report of the shift
- Maintain good communication with the team
- Provide a shift report to the next employee
- Review the report from the previous employee
- Maintain a secure, clean, and calm environment
Requirements and Assets
- Autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Ability to work alone at night
- Experience with a mental health client base (an asset)
- Law 90 training (an asset)
- RCR / First Aid training (an asset)
This position requires a reliable, autonomous, and attentive person capable of ensuring a secure environment for users during the night shift.
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
Location: On-site
