AECOM is a leader in Quebec in the field of water resources, applied hydrology, and green infrastructure, with numerous municipal mandates related to river projects, watershed management, and climate change adaptation. We are looking for a Water Management Engineer to contribute to structuring projects where the quantitative and qualitative management of water guides strategic decisions.
Your Role
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies (watersheds, rivers, urban environments)
- Develop and utilize advanced hydrological and hydraulic models (PCSWMM, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS required)
- Work on river projects, flood analyses, and climate resilience studies
- Design and evaluate hydraulic structures and stormwater management solutions
- Design and integrate green infrastructure and nature-based solutions
- Prepare hydrological balances, mass balances, and risk analyses
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, plans, and proposals, and permit applications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, geotechnical, fluvial)
- Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water engineering, or environmental engineering
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, or water resource management
- Active member of the OIQ
- Professional experience in Quebec
- Excellent proficiency in PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS
- Good knowledge of Quebec regulatory frameworks (MELCCFP, MAMH, municipalities)
- Excellent technical writing and collaboration skills
- Good understanding of English for possible out-of-province mandates
