In collaboration with the Civil Engineering team of
Pluritec , we are looking for a Director of Civil Engineering for our Quebec office.
Your main responsibilities
Executive
- Participate and supervise the design, planning, drafting of estimates, estimates, and technical reports for the civil engineering discipline as well as some mandates for the supervision of works;
- Prepare and review service offers;
- Participate in the development of the company's business and contribute to the strategic planning of the company;
- Assist and participate in the executive council;
- Present information related to the civil engineering team to managers, committees, boards of directors, and colleagues, and provide recommendations when necessary;
- Formulate recommendations regarding operational processes and strategic vision for the organization.
Project Management
- Manage projects and support your team in management tasks (opening and team in SAP, billing, tracking, etc.);
- Plan the work of the civil engineering team in the Quebec office on a weekly basis;
- Validate work plans and track project performance;
- Stimulate communication and team spirit. Develop, within the project team, a client-oriented attitude specific to the firm;
- Collaborate in the development of methods to increase project efficiency;
- Ensure that engineers and technicians are assigned to the right projects and tasks that correspond to their strengths and motivations.
Quality
- Prioritize the quality of deliverables, making it a necessity and a must in the department;
- Ensure that all steps of a project, sub-project, and intermediate deliverable are verified by each link in the chain before submission. This includes the work of drafters, technicians, and design engineers (junior, intermediate, or senior).
Human Resources
- Participate in the human resources management of your team, including hiring and developing your team;
- Support and coach your team on a technical and relational level;
- Promote the values of Pluritec.

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering;
- Master's degree in a relevant field (an asset);
- Project management training (an asset);
- Order of Engineers of Quebec;
- ASP construction.
