Position Summary...

Working as a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast-paced retail environment. What you'll do...

Description DES tâches

• Offer an excellent customer experience

Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, helping them choose products, find merchandise, and make purchasing decisions, promoting products and services, and resolving related issues or forwarding concerns, as needed.

Sales floor coverage and team support

Cover designated sales floor areas and provide assistance with cashier coverage if needed. Communicate with other associates to ensure sales floor coverage and meet customer needs.

Merchandising, zoning, and recovery

Perform zoning of designated areas to maintain cleanliness and order in the sales floor. Move featured items to appropriate module locations and process recovered merchandise at the customer service counter and in other store areas.

Execution of stocking and module setup tasks

Perform stocking of merchandise and selections, lower merchandise as needed, install safety devices on items as needed, and set up and complete modules, including flexible modules and new tablet displays.

Safety, cleanliness, and compliance

Maintain a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following company guidelines and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays are secured.

Flexibility (availability/work schedules)

• Be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the company. Your adaptability helps ensure the smooth operation of the store and consistent, high-quality customer service.

• Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting merchandise, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 9 kg (20 lb) and sometimes up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Perform repetitive tasks such as restocking, zoning, and shelving products, with particular attention to detail and consistency to maintain store standards.
