ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently looking for a MACHINIST (EVENING SHIFT) for our electric motor repair shop located in Jonquière.
Your role:
Reporting to the Workshop Director, you will be responsible for repairing or modifying various parts related to electric motors using conventional machine tools while providing support in the mechanics of electric motors.
Main responsibilities: More specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate various operations and set up machine tools to perform the work;
- Operate a conventional lathe and milling machine;
- Perform turning and milling work on pieces mainly composed of cast iron and steel;
- Follow specifications and machining parameters to modify pieces according to established quality and safety standards;
- Take all necessary measures to protect your safety and that of your colleagues by following SST rules, policies, and procedures;
- Participate in identifying risks and finding solutions or improvement ideas in SST;
- Perform any other related tasks.

Desired profile
- D.E.P. in machining;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience on a conventional lathe and milling machine;
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 40 pounds);
- Ability to work standing for long hours.

- Working hours:
Evening shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday (4 days of 10 hours), 40 hours per week.
