Call to all retired nurses and clinical nurses who wish to take on a new challenge and discover the Nunavik by living a unique human experience in support of our teams.

The Inuulitsivik Health Centre is currently looking for retired nurses and clinical nurses to fill replacement positions in villages along the coast of Hudson Bay, serving the communities.

Regulated by the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Regional Health and Social Services Agency of Nunavik, CSI applies the Health and Social Services Act while respecting the Convention of the Baie James and Northern Quebec. The nursing care direction is divided into 7 different sectors for which we are actively recruiting:

  • Care Unit (recent experience of at least 2 years in critical care required)
  • Specialized Services
  • RPA
  • Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry
  • Home Care
  • Public Health
  • Clinics – with expanded role (recent experience of at least 2 years in critical care required)

Employment Conditions – Replacements – Retired Nurses and Clinical Nurses – Grand North (Villages along the coast of Hudson Bay)

Salary

  • Nurse salary between $29.61 and $47.48 per hour, depending on experience
  • Clinical Nurse salary between $31.06 and $55.04 per hour, depending on experience

Northern Benefits and Other Employment Conditions

  • Remote allowance (no dependents) between $233.63 and $275.60 per week, depending on the village
  • Remote allowance (with dependents) between $411.84 and $485.88 per week, depending on the village
  • Retention allowance between $449.54 and $545.90 per week, depending on the village and seniority
  • Cost of living allowance: between $58.40 and $188.72 per week, depending on the village
  • Clinic allowance if applicable: $228 per week

Replacements Offered – Your availability will be ours!

  • Minimum of 4 consecutive weeks on-site in the North

Requirements – Retired Nurse and Clinical Nurse – Replacements – Grand North (Villages along the coast of Hudson Bay)

Academic

  • Nurse DEC in nursing sciences
  • Clinical Nurse Bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences

Other Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the OIIQ
  • Bilingualism (French, English) Inuktitut an asset
  • Knowledge of the PIQ
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Up-to-date RCR certification
