We are looking for a Director, Procurement and Logistics who will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and logistics operations for the entire Canadian perimeter.

Reporting to the vice president and CEO, this person will be responsible for defining and deploying strategies related to procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations and logistics. They will work closely with the different teams of the organization to ensure product availability, operational efficiency and cost optimization.

We are looking for an experienced leader from the distribution sector, capable of having a strategic vision while remaining close to operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall procurement and logistics strategy;
  • Supervise procurement activities;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and suppliers;
  • Participate in negotiations and identify opportunities to optimize costs and procurement conditions;
  • Ensure optimal inventory management to support operational and commercial needs;
  • Supervise and optimize warehouse and distribution operations;
  • Develop and track key performance indicators related to procurement, inventory and logistics;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement practices that promote operational efficiency and standardization;
  • Anticipate supply chain challenges and develop strategies to ensure operational continuity;
  • Participate in the preparation and monitoring of budgets related to his/her sector;
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, finance teams and the different sites of the organization;
  • Mobilize, support and develop teams under his/her responsibility.

Desired Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics or related field;
  • Significant experience in a management or leadership role;
  • Experience in the distribution sector required;
  • Experience in an environment with multiple warehouses, distribution centers or branches (strongly desired);
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, strategic purchasing and logistics operations;
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and supplier management;
  • Good understanding of supply chain performance indicators;
  • Ability to analyze data and transform it into concrete actions;
  • Motivational leadership and ability to manage change;
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing environment;
  • Bilingual French and English, to collaborate with different partners across Canada.
