Production Journeyman

We are currently looking for a Production Journeyman for our Lachute plant.

Role and Responsibilities

Under the leadership of the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Perform manual or automated operations (sanding, staining);
• Inspect transformed products and correct defects;
• Pack and handle finished products;
• Keep the work area clean and safe;
• Ensure compliance with the employer's health and safety regulations;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Profile and Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position, an asset;
• Experience in a wood manufacturing or transformation plant, an asset;
• Experience operating a forklift, an asset;
• Manual skills and attention to detail;
• Proactivity and good judgment;
• Autonomy, flexibility, and sense of responsibility;
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to the position;
• Positive attitude and team spirit.
