- Your responsibilities
As a public patrol officer, you will be called upon to provide visible and preventive presence in various sectors of the City of Dorval.
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols in assigned sectors
- Provide preventive presence in streets, parks, parking lots, and public spaces
- Observe locations and identify unusual or risky situations
- Conduct preventive checks and report anomalies
- Respond to service requests and provide assistance to citizens
- Educate citizens on the respect of regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with municipal services, GardaWorld teams, and emergency services when required
- Provide presence during events or special situations
- Write precise and detailed reports on observations and interventions
- Perform any other tasks related to security and the proper functioning of public places
Required qualifications
- Hold a valid Security Officer license in Quebec
- Hold a valid First Aid certificate
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, if required for the position
- Be available to work on a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrate judgment, vigilance, and professionalism
- Be comfortable working autonomously and in a team
- Be able to write clear and detailed reports
- Be comfortable with technological tools
- Possess experience in security, patrol, or a municipal environment (asset)
