Technical Sales Representative to develop and maintain strategic relationships with engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders in the HVAC sector.

The Role

Reporting to the regional sales director, you will play a strategic role in the development of the market in Quebec City and the surrounding area.

Your primary mandate will be to work upstream with engineering firms and design professionals to promote technical solutions and influence product choices and specifications.

You will act as a true technical reference for your clients and partners, guiding them in the selection and optimization of HVAC and fluid circulation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering firms, engineers, and other professionals involved in project design.
  • Work with consultants from the early stages of projects to position the company's solutions in bids and specifications.
  • Provide technical support in the selection and optimization of equipment and systems.
  • Present products and technologies to clients through technical presentations, training, and Lunch & Learn sessions.
  • Identify upcoming projects and ensure rigorous follow-up of opportunities until contract award.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, application, and technical support teams.
  • Develop relationships with contractors, distributors, and other market partners.
  • Participate in events, industry trade shows, and activities.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends, projects, and activities of competitors.
  • Keep activities and opportunities up-to-date in the CRM.
  • Actively contribute to achieving growth objectives in the territory.
  • Desired Profile

We are looking for a person with a solid technical understanding of the HVAC sector and a consultative sales approach.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical or university education relevant to the field, ideally in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or representation in an industrial or building mechanics environment.
  • Good understanding of HVAC systems, pumps, hydronic systems, controls, or energy optimization.
  • Experience working with engineering firms and design professionals.
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and propose suitable solutions.
  • Experience in specification-based sales or working with engineering firms, an asset.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship development skills.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with a CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proficiency in French.
  • Availability to travel on the territory.
