Asset Protection Partner for the store, working against theft and collaborating with the store management team to implement operational control and reduce shortages.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform on-site surveillance and use the closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to identify, observe, and apprehend or deter individuals from committing theft
  • Comply with all Sephora laws and regulations regarding arrests, seizures, and evidence preservation
  • Prepare reports regarding thefts, merchandise recovery, accident investigations, and audits
  • Testify in court on behalf of the company for criminal or civil cases for which the loss prevention agent is subpoenaed
  • Provide training to new hires and employees to ensure all are aware of loss prevention in the store
  • Conduct store audits and inspections of checklists and security measures
  • Assist the store management team with stock preparation and processes
  • Collaborate with stores and the loss prevention district manager to create and implement plans to prevent losses
  • Must meet the minimum required number of work shifts or weekly hours
  • + Full-time staff: 30 to 40 hours per week
  • + Part-time staff: 16 to 20 hours per week

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention, in the retail industry
  • Meet and maintain permit requirements (as required by the province or local authorities)
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, ability to listen, conduct interviews, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work for multiple stores in the same market

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Ability to work near scented products
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 kg
  • Ability to bend and stretch to place products on shelves

The compensation ranges between $25.00 CAD and $30.00 CAD per hour.
