• Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours). The employee must be available to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, day and night.

• Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, without being limited to:
• Initiate interactions with hotel guests, encouraging them to discover the restaurant and cocktail lounge.
• Welcome guests warmly to the restaurant, embodying the spirit of the Sofitel brand.
• Inform guests and answer their questions regarding the restaurant and hotel services.
• Know the different menus of the restaurant and the current promotions.
• Know the organization of the restaurant and its capacity, in order to assign tables according to the seating plan and the desires of the guests.
• Accompany guests to the table assigned to them and present the menus.
• Upon the departure of guests, thank them, validate their satisfaction, and encourage them to visit the restaurant and hotel services again.
• Process and confirm restaurant reservations, in order to facilitate operations and maximize reservations.
• Interact with guests to compile their preferences and offer personalized service.
• Process reservation cancellations.
• Process group reservation requests and ensure the organization of their experience (menu printing, seating plan management, etc.).
• Handle restaurant calls and emails, according to Sofitel standards.
• Transmit important information regarding guests to the concerned parties (allergies, special occasions, requests, regular guests, etc.).
• Anticipate guests' needs and exceed their expectations.
• Ensure the smooth running of the restaurant service.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the menus and the reception area.
• Perform the daily and weekly tasks assigned to the host/hostess team.
• Respect the standards of luxury service at Sofitel.
• All other tasks necessary for the smooth running of the restaurant service.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in a reception and customer service position.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and outstanding customer service.
• Present a distinguished, warm, and authentic attitude.
• Ability to react quickly under pressure.
• Strong sense of autonomy and resourcefulness.
• Strong sense of organization and attention to detail.
• Good team spirit and ease in establishing contact with the customer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, in order to easily understand and discuss with an international clientele, regularly.
