CONTRIBUTION TO THE TEAM
The Planning Technician reports to the Material and Product Control Manager. They support the work of the Planning/Procurement Coordinator and the Inventory Coordinator.
ROLE
Provide support for the daily activities of production planning as well as support for the accuracy of transactions in the company's ERP and procurement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Planning/Procurement Coordinator in their daily tasks:
- o Creation of work orders;
- o Sequencing;
- o Evaluation of production capacity
- Regularly communicate with production supervisors and team leaders.
- Manage the printing of installation manuals.
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects (both office and plant processes).
- Keep production schedules up to date.
- Support the Inventory Coordinator:
- o Transactions in SAP
- o Correction/modifications/confirmations of work orders
- Analysis of raw material requirements.
- Opening of purchase orders.
- Tracking of deliveries from suppliers.
Education
- Degree in operations management, production, logistics, engineering, or office management (asset).
Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing company (asset);
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English (beginner to intermediate level), to respond to customer service and supplier requests.
- Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERPs (excellent asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Concern for internal/external customers.
