Frima is looking for a Lead Game Designer to help its game design team level up.
*We are Frima, a video game development studio based in Quebec and Montreal for over 20 years, and we bring together hundreds of passionate talents united by one ambition: to create unforgettable games on all platforms.*

What Your Weeks Will Look Like
- Determine and apply the most appropriate technical and conceptual means to achieve the project vision while respecting production constraints (technical, budgetary and time-related);
- Organize and lead regular meetings with your team to track progress, anticipate risks and validate adherence to schedules;
- Monitor the evolution of deliverables and ensure that quality, consistency and playability standards are met;
- Mobilize, lead and support your direct team by providing continuous feedback through coaching;
- Develop a trusting relationship with the partner and act as the main point of contact in your area of expertise;
- Participate in project reviews and post-mortems to continuously improve processes and deliverables;
- Collaborate with the studio's Design team to develop and share design best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in game design or another relevant diploma combined with equivalent experience;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in game design;
- Experience as a Lead Game Designer or in a similar role;
- Proficiency in the Unreal game engine;
- Excellent understanding of the synergy between mechanics, narrative, and visuals;
- Excellent knowledge of the various stages involved in creating a video game and the technical constraints specific to the gaming universe;
- Bilingualism (English/French);
- Available to travel internationally if needed.
