We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our dynamic team.
This position offers the opportunity to lead projects and contribute to high-impact software solutions used by companies and users worldwide.
As a senior software developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex software systems, as well as mentoring junior developers.
You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the technical foundation behind our flagship products and services.
Responsibilities
Software Development: Produce clean, testable, maintainable, and efficient code for various applications and systems, approaching each problem with an AI-first mindset — thoughtfully integrating AI-assisted development where it brings speed, quality, or relevance, while applying engineering expertise when precision and context demand it.
Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications and systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
Mentoring: Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and a growth mindset.
Code Review: Rigorously review code produced by other developers, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a high level of technical excellence.
Debugging and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure the quality of service operations.
Documentation: Properly document new features, improvements, or fixes to the product, and contribute to the development of training materials.
Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption when relevant to drive innovation and improve team productivity (e.g., Claude Code, CoPilot).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- More than 4 years of professional experience in software development.
- Deep expertise in Java and the Spring framework.
- Extensive experience with software development practices and design patterns.
- Proven experience in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git and platforms such as GitHub.
- Experience with ticket/problem tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The salary range for this position is $98,100 CAD to $132,450 CAD. The actual base salary offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for a performance-based bonus and receive restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package.
