Role

The incumbent of this position is responsible for supporting and deploying the technological aspect of the Cirrus cloud infrastructure regarding its infrastructure virtualization offer, IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS services. They act as a senior technical expert to support and implement these technologies, while working closely with cloud architecture advisors, relying on their technical knowledge. The primary role of this position is for the automation of operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the deployment and support for the implementation of the Cirrus cloud offer;
• Automate and orchestrate recurring tasks;
• Maintain the existing virtualization infrastructure;
• Participate in the technological evolution projects of BaaS;
• Effectively communicate encountered issues to team members;
• Propose potential infrastructure improvements;
• Provide support in responding to customer requests;
• Solve complex problems;
• Deploy and maintain the service monitoring solution offered;
• Install and configure servers and other equipment;
• Install, maintain, and support micrologic software;
• Apply security updates;
• Document and communicate infrastructure maintenance;
• Contribute to the definition and documentation of the team's operational standards;
• Develop scripts in an administration language and tools for managing the production environment;
• Implement best practices and security measures;
• Review and propose potential infrastructure improvements;
• Perform any other related tasks.

In a continuous improvement perspective, contribute to the technological development of the Cirrus cloud offer and all related cloud services

• Optimize processes and tools used during deployments;
• Participate in the creation of documentation useful for the deployment of cloud solutions (process documentation) in collaboration with Micrologic teams;
• Ensure that performance indicators are met to measure the effectiveness of implementations and keep statistics up to date;
• In close collaboration with the cloud infrastructure management team and the architecture team, ensure the maintenance of the environments to be supported.

• Have technical knowledge on:
• VMware/Broadcom
• Mastery of Veeam or other backup products (an asset);
• Hold certifications (Veeam VMCE or VMCA) (an asset);
• Have experience working in a production environment;
• Any other equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications

• Have completed a college-level education in computer science;
• Have good knowledge in networking and security;
• Have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a large IT environment.

Special Conditions for the Position

• Be available to support the production environment in a 24/7 mode — available for calls;
• Be able to travel to the data center if needed.
