About the position

You will work as a legal recovery advisor at one of our offices located in Quebec City or Longueuil, for Promutuel Assurance in a hybrid mode.

Do you have an analytical mind and a keen sense of negotiation in your DNA? Do you want to direct your practice towards recovery and put your talents to work in resolving cases? Lawyer or young graduate in law, this legal recovery advisor position may interest you! In this role, you will be responsible for recovering the benefits paid to third parties or their insurers.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze recovery files and establish the theory of cause to ensure the validity of the potential subrogation process;
• Gather all the necessary documentation and information for the continuation of the recovery process, as well as assist accident experts in collecting the evidence and information needed for potential recovery;
• Communicate with mutual companies to regularly follow up on their recovery files;
• Contact, regularly follow up, and negotiate with third parties or their insurer to obtain satisfactory settlements in recovery files;
• If necessary, mandate legal proceedings with the authorization of the mutual company;
• Compile data and keep recovery file tracking files up to date;
• Other related tasks.

Do you have this profile?

• Bachelor's degree in law
• Good knowledge of civil laws and insurance contracts
• Excellent communication skills
• Great negotiation skills
• Autonomy and resourcefulness
• Sense of analysis and synthesis
• Experience in a recovery service or civil litigation or insurance law - asset
• Member of the Quebec Bar Association - asset
