Electromechanical Technician

Our Boisbriand plant, located near Highway 640 and Boisbriand Suburb, specializes in fresh products sold in grocery stores. It also manufactures products for the St-Hubert Rotisserie restaurant chain and retail customers. Several refrigerated products, such as salads, pâtés, and raised cuts, are produced in the plant. We cannot reveal the secret ingredients of our BBQ sauce, but we can reveal the timeless secret of the company's success: our employees!

  • Your Role

At the heart of operations, your role will ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of automated production equipment, identify the causes of breakdowns and/or breaks, and perform a variety of work and installations on industrial equipment, according to maintenance schedules and ad-hoc calls.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Maintain and repair the electronic components of industrial equipment
  • Test and observe electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems using testing and measurement devices
  • Participate in the assembly of production line equipment
  • Identify and locate the causes of equipment defects and failures
  • Solve equipment breakdown and breakage issues within the best possible timeframe using the appropriate method
  • Repair defects by modifying, manufacturing, or installing the appropriate part(s) for the problem
  • Ensure the compliance and functionality of repairs, modifications, and adjustments
  • Clean and perform general mechanical maintenance of equipment, facilities, and workshops
  • Perform preventive maintenance work orders under your responsibility
  • Perform work while adhering to health and safety regulations, adopting good work practices

Desired Profile

  • Specialized training in electromechanical
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • 3 years of experience in the field
  • Experience in the food industry (a strong asset)
  • Experience in TIG welding (an asset)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and SQF standards (an asset)
  • Ability to adapt, be flexible, and versatile
  • Autonomy and problem-solving capacity
