What Will Your Day Look Like?

The Fuel Injector Department is looking for CNC Machinists. As a CNC Machinist at Pratt & Whitney, you will develop, operate, and set up a wide range of numerically controlled machine tools - including lathes, grinders, milling machines, spark erosion machines, and laser cutting machines - to machine new parts and repair worn parts.

To do this, you will need to:

• Work from drawings, standard work instructions, sketches, and verbal instructions from the supervisor or team lead
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as gauges and coordinate measuring machines

You will also provide support for quality management, equipment maintenance, and material handling. To do this, you will need to:

• Keep up-to-date maintenance logs
• Perform simple deburring
• Install details such as bushings and nuts
• Clean, store, pack, and move parts

You will demonstrate your commitment to excellence and help create a world-class manufacturing environment:

• Organize and keep your work area clean and orderly

You will develop your skills and work closely with your colleagues to improve the work environment:

• Participate in hands-on training to improve your current skills and acquire new ones

• Contribute to the development of new parts or procedures for specific methods and tools

Requirements

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in machining technology
• ASP Machining on numerically controlled machine tools
• DEC Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• Ability to work in a team
• This position is set in a French-speaking work environment, but requires basic English knowledge to understand specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.
