Crematorium Operator
Commerce et hôtellerieDescription
Eternal Companions is a growing company specializing in funeral services for families who have lost their pet. Present in Quebec and Ontario, our mission is to offer empathetic, respectful, and dignified services, supporting both families and the veterinary teams we work closely with. We believe that every member of our team contributes to our mission.
The Crematorium Operator is responsible for the entire cremation process, adhering to operational procedures, safety, and regulatory standards. The person in this role will perform professional and respectful handling of animal remains, strictly following the company's procedures and demonstrating the professionalism required for this type of service. It is therefore essential to provide dignified and respectful treatment of animals while ensuring the quality of services offered to families and partners.
This role also includes basic equipment maintenance and performing certain administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, traceability, incident management, and form completion. It also involves a portion of special services, including taking paw and/or muzzle prints in ink or clay, as well as taking hair samples, and other related tasks as needed.
This position is not suitable for someone seeking a well-defined routine. We are looking for a person comfortable with an environment where tasks vary from day to day, capable of dealing with the realities of the job, which includes being in contact with deceased animals, and who will have the necessary professionalism to do so. This role also requires empathy during moments with families.

- Ensure daily maintenance of the crematorium, work tools, and equipment, and report any anomalies;
- Maintain work areas clean, organized, and safe;
- Manage inventories (urns, supplies, equipment, etc.);
- Collaborate with team members and provide occasional support to operations (family reception, private ceremonies, internal logistics).

- The ability to follow strict procedures and maintain high standards;
- The ability to lift or move loads of 50 lb or more, using the provided techniques and equipment;
- Comfort with working in an environment with some heat (due to the crematorium);
