As a Personal Finance Advisor, you are responsible for developing and maintaining a lasting and trust-based business relationship with members and clients to ensure their satisfaction. You actively participate in the development and maintenance of business relationships with a loyal clientele in your field. You analyze and handle complex client requests or promote and sell specialized products and services that meet their needs, leveraging your ability to achieve results. You ensure consistency between sales objectives, healthy and prudent risk management, profitability, and client satisfaction. You engage with a clientele representing potential development for your sector. You analyze the needs of members and clients and participate in the development and implementation of tailored solutions and present integrated service offers. You play a consulting and advisory role with current or potential members and clients. You represent the company in agreements with the clientele and have opportunities to establish and negotiate terms related to products and services, in accordance with applicable standards and procedures. Mastery of interpersonal relationships becomes an essential skill. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Establish a consulting relationship by identifying current or potential needs and fostering client retention
  • Advise members and clients on the best solutions or strategies and agree on the desired results
  • Analyze and respond to complex client needs, process requests, and ensure the required follow-ups
  • Collect, gather, and analyze information, prepare reports, and recommendations
  • Act as a portfolio manager. Assess service satisfaction and quality, ensure follow-ups, and implement required improvements
  • Conduct market vigilance to stay aware of opportunities, trends, and best practices in your field.

What you will bring

  • College diploma (DEC technical) in an appropriate discipline
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Commitment to obtaining the collective investment representative certificate (pre-requisite training offered by Desjardins)
  • French language proficiency required
  • Advanced English proficiency due to the nature of tasks, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking partners or members and clients
  • Availability for travel in the Quebec-Portneuf region, up to 60 km from your residence 🚗
  • Valid driver's license
  • Availability to work one evening per week
