Job Number: 268749

Dynamic Funds is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bank of Nova Scotia, headquartered in Toronto. Dynamic was founded in 1957 as a small investment club. As a pioneer, Dynamic provided professional advice to the general public. It has since become one of Canada's most reputable asset management companies, offering a wide range of products and services that provide access to the main sectors, regions, asset categories, and investment methods. It provides fixed and variable capital funds, tax-advantaged products, fee-based programs, and customized solutions for high-net-worth investors.

Dynamic Funds is a true Canadian success story, built on unshakable beliefs that guide all our actions. We attract the best talent through a culture that allows us to be proactive (not reactive), results-oriented, and passionate about sales. In short, our employees are truly autonomous, experienced, and dynamic. We have built a solid foundation where different perspectives, ideas, and backgrounds continue to grow our business.

The world of internal sales is evolving. Digital technology and online meetings have transformed the way we do business, whether it's accessing information, clients, or results. However, building and developing new relationships still requires human connection and the fundamental art of conversation.

The Sales Representative works closely with the external representative to generate sales, develop new business, and ensure the service and management of existing clients regarding Dynamic products. As an essential member of the sales team, the Sales Representative must have a deep understanding of the company's products and policies, competition, industry changes, market conditions, and client business practices. The representative uses the phone daily, rather than in-person meetings, to build relationships and increase sales. He or she must also collaborate closely with the Sales Assistant (SA), fully integrating them into the team's work.

Is this role for you? In this role, you will need to

  • Support the external representative by following up quickly after meetings, tours, events, and webinars;
  • Initiate phone calls to establish or deepen existing relationships (20 calls or points of activity per day);
  • Maintain an archive of all relevant information on products, policies, procedures, and rules to be transmitted to clients;
  • Ensure strong participation in regional events and tours through outgoing call campaigns;
  • Participate in meetings with the external representative at least once a month, and sometimes attend his or her own meetings;
  • Collaborate with the SA to establish priorities and tasks to be completed;
  • Make daily purchase and repurchase calls to identify trends, prospects, and first transactions;
  • Create email newsletters with relevant marketing and product information for advisors via the ODD filters and share them with the sales team;
  • Utilize data using the diagnostic sales process and feed the CRM (OOD) with the collected information;
  • Participate in national, regional, departmental, and project meetings, sharing comments and information;
  • Assist the external representative in segmenting the customer base to define service levels and ensure sales in various distribution channels (250 to 400 clients);
  • Serve as a liaison with the product manager to organize meetings, conference calls, and webinars;
  • Transmit customer issues to the relevant service and the external representative;
  • Participate in special projects as needed;
  • Assist in developing an annual strategic business plan and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales to territory advisors.

Do you have the necessary skills to succeed in this role? We would like to work with you if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or business administration;
  • A CSC or IFIC certification;
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services sector;
  • Excellent collaboration skills and impeccable communication skills in English and French.

"In accordance with the linguistic needs assessment conducted by Scotia Bank, the selected candidate must be able to communicate in English and French. They will need to collaborate closely with other groups at the headquarters that primarily work in English, they will report to an English-speaking headquarters manager, and they will serve an English-speaking client base."

Location(s): Canada: Quebec: Montreal

We value the unique skills that each employee brings to the Bank and are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all. We will communicate directly with those selected for an interview. If you require accommodation measures during the recruitment and selection process, please let us know. We will work with you to ensure your recruitment experience is as satisfying as possible.
