Heavy Vehicle Dispatcher

We are currently looking for a Heavy Vehicle Dispatcher. The candidate will perform various tasks in the heavy vehicle workshop. The position reports to the Workshop Supervisor MCT.1.

Full-time permanent position (40 hours/week), from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

The salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience. The salary is reviewed annually.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Transport (pick up or take) a truck to drive it to a local destination
• General assistance in the workshop to organize workstations
• Perform internal work in the garage and external work in the yard
• Serve mechanics as a truck driver by providing assistance when needed
• Serve delivery drivers and transporters
• Perform basic maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment
• Ensure that the machinery is clean, functional, and meets standards
• Maintain the cleanliness of the garage, buildings, and grounds
• Perform loading and unloading of goods
• Ensure the supply of mechanics with various materials and supplies
• Act, if necessary, as a dispatcher for various departments
• Perform any other related tasks.

Profile

• Have a Class 5 driver's license (mandatory), Class 1 (an asset), and Class 3 (an asset)
• Be versatile and flexible in team relations
• Basic knowledge of truck mechanics or logistics (an asset)
• Sense of organization, diligence, and autonomy
• Good ability to work in a team in a dynamic environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
