SENIOR FUNCTIONAL ANALYST

We are looking for SENIOR FUNCTIONAL ANALYSTS for this position, you will intervene within the framework of a client project that falls under the public sector in the city of Quebec.

Activities

• Follows the appropriate process based on the methodology in place at the Agency, primarily the Green Guide issued by the Macroscope MD
• Actively participates in the activities of the agile methodology: preparation of reviews, retrospectives, iteration planning and participation in daily stand-ups
• Takes full responsibility for the complete realization of change requests, from the initial need to the final implementation
• Collaborates closely with the team lead to ensure regular tracking of work, effective prioritization and proactive risk and issue management
• Defines, analyzes and clarifies the needs of business partners
• Becomes familiar with the needs expressed by the user as well as all available documentation
• Consults and interprets architecture files and the product backlog to ensure global consistency of solutions
• Produces or evolves functional and system documentation
• Prepares test proposals, test data sets and performs all required levels of testing
• Produces cost and effort estimates in relation to the work to be done
• Analyzes and recommends the optimal functional solution to be applied
• Organizes or participates in meetings related to system maintenance and evolution requests
• Coordinates all activities necessary for the realization and implementation of several change requests
• Produces the necessary requests for the VPTI sectors (security, magnetic space, integration, data administration, etc.)
• Supports development teams and acts as a reference when needed in programming/analysis
• Ensures the quality assurance of functional deliverables and implemented solutions
• Supports users in the realization of their tests and during the production of solutions
• Implements solutions and provides the required support in production as well as in the post-implementation phase
• Ensures constant follow-up with the various collaborators of the Agency and coordinates the activities necessary for the resolution of issues
• Provides continuous functional support to users
• Performs any other activity required within the framework of the project

• Functional, test or architecture files
• Work evaluation
• Implementation plan
• Functional test files including proposals and permanent test sets
• Solution implementation plan
• Documents related to component management
• Documents related to the activities of other Agency collaborators
• Quality assurance report
• Forms and various requests for other VPTI sectors (security, magnetic space, development support, integration, data administration, etc.)
• Any other deliverable required within the framework of this project

Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology requiring at least three (3) years of university study (or the comparative evaluation issued by the MIFI for degrees obtained outside Quebec), otherwise possess three (3) additional years of experience according to the following criterion
• Possess eight (8) years of experience in information technology
• Possess eight (8) years of experience as a functional analyst in the development, maintenance and evolution of systems, including three (3) years in the last five (5) years in a technological and organizational environment comparable to that of the Agency
• Possess five (5) years of experience as a functional analyst in an environment using the Microsoft Visual Studio.NET development workshop
• Have used a recognized development methodology for a minimum period of twelve (12) months such as: Macroscope, Green Guide
• Possess at least six (6) months of experience, within the period of the last three (3) years, in one or more of the following technologies: Oracle database; Teradata database (or equivalent information system)
• Possess at least three (3) years of experience in the field of maintenance, evolution and development of systems in an organizational environment comparable to that of the Agency, in relation to activities and deliverables
