Bureau Veritas is looking for a Project Manager - Environmental to join our laboratory in the environmental sector located in Sainte-Foy, QC.
Summary
The Project Manager contributes to providing quality service to clients through a personalized approach and participates in achieving the company's objectives. He/she acts as an intermediary between the client and the laboratory to ensure that the services offered meet expectations. He/she is the client's resource, an essential relationship in the development of a loyalty relationship.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and developing client accounts;
- Liaison agent between clients, the laboratory, and Bureau Veritas' management team;
- Ensure that client feedback is transmitted to Bureau Veritas' management team;
- Respond to clients (by phone or email) within one hour of receipt, in collaboration with project assistants;
- Develop a relationship with clients based on exceptional service;
- Provide technical support to clients on their various sampling projects;
- Stay up-to-date with the application and interpretation of all environmental regulations;
- Record and complete any procedure related to a client's complaint or CARs;
- Stay up-to-date with all methods and PARs and MOCs using the many QSI report tools and the CMR database;
- Assist the sales team by actively participating in the development and implementation of regional sales strategies;
- Develop relationships between the company and potential and existing clients by actively participating in the identification of new accounts and the review of existing client accounts;
- Work jointly with clients to coordinate all project-related requirements;
- Facilitate communication between clients and other divisions of the laboratory;
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence and the writing of reports for the examination of analytical data, marketing information, and related documents;
- Responsible for training all project assistants;
- Work with accounting employees to facilitate communication regarding a client's payment habits and debt collection;
- Adhere to safety requirements;
- Keep the existing employee training form up-to-date;
- Adhere to and implement all company policies on AQ and CQ;
- Assist the logistics service with the entry of samples into the laboratory's Lims system according to established SOPs;
- Provide assistance to the container preparation service during peak season, if necessary.
Desired profile
- Bachelor's degree in sciences or equivalent;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an environmental analysis laboratory;
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and its application in the laboratory;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages (French and English) — (Due to frequent exchanges with anglophone colleagues internally and externally — including clients and employees located in other anglophone provinces — knowledge of English is required to facilitate and improve communications.);
- Excellent computer skills;
- Good interpersonal communication skills;
- Must be able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, able to work under pressure;
- Must be responsible, independent, dedicated, and motivated with a good team spirit;
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines under stressful conditions with strict directives.
