Customer Service and Operational Support

  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal departments and transportation service providers for all transportation-related activities.
  • Manage and resolve service requests, including shipment setup, tracking and tracing, customs-related operational issues, billing requests, cargo claims, and ad-hoc transportation submission requests.
  • Investigate transportation issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide stakeholders with clear, timely, and continuous communication regarding shipment status, service issues, and solutions provided.
  • Document and ensure visibility of transportation submissions, service incidents, and issue types to support tracking activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Transportation Coordination

  • Recommend the most suitable transportation services to meet company needs, in accordance with established shipping guidelines and corporate transportation policies.
  • Coordinate urgent national and international shipments to meet priority needs and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Manage transportation activities for:

+ Import shipments under Incoterms FCA (Free Carrier) when the company is responsible for transportation; + Export shipments under Incoterms DAP (Delivered at Place) when the company remains responsible for transportation.

  • Serve as the first point of contact outside normal working hours for transportation escalation situations.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Collaborate with aerospace compliance and export compliance teams to ensure compliance with applicable international trade, customs, and transportation regulations.
  • Verify Incoterms on purchase orders and contracts to confirm the proper assignment of transportation responsibilities and compliance requirements.
  • Support RFI and RFQ activities in collaboration with the procurement organization.
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with hazardous materials regulations and applicable customs requirements.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and operational support to stakeholders and requestors.
  • Support daily transportation operations and assist team members as needed to ensure continuity of activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with transportation service providers to promote operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Adhere to escalation protocols and maintain close communication with transportation subject matter experts (SMEs) and Transport and Logistics leadership.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service in a high-volume, dynamic, and demanding operational environment.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of national and international transportation operations and customs processes.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, freight management, and logistics operations.
  • Certification in hazardous materials or practical knowledge of applicable regulations is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause identification skills.
  • Knowledge of CTPAT is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the fields of transportation and logistics.

Additionally: You are able to work in English and French on a daily basis. You must be able to work on-site two (2) days per week, sometimes more, depending on the policy in place.
