Main Responsibilities

The specialized IT analyst - application support is responsible for supporting, analyzing, and continuously improving clinical and clinico-administrative applications. Under the general supervision of the service chief, they ensure the resolution of complex incidents, coordinate support activities, and contribute to service continuity within an integrated MSSS and Quebec health network environment.

They participate in coordinating activities related to the implementation of new application solutions or updating existing systems, and contribute to production planning, ensuring smooth execution and quality control during deployments. The candidate must demonstrate strong business analysis capabilities, workflow evaluation skills, and the ability to document technical specifications to improve information processing.

More specifically, your talents will be mobilized in: Analysis and Planning

• Participates in project proposals and works closely with project managers.
• Meets with clients, analyzes their needs, and informs them about available technological solutions in the context of IT project requests.
• Participates in testing phases with pilots.
• Participates in production planning activities.
• Adequately documents the deployed system following established standards, including service level agreements.
• Ensures quality control during the planning of new application deployments or new versions of existing ones.
• Links with project office, infrastructure, and networking teams to meet the needs of information systems users.
• Application Support
• Analyzes complex application incidents, considering application, infrastructure, and network dimensions.
• Collaborates with technical teams to identify root causes (RCA) and implement lasting fixes.
• Support
• Ensures immediate response to application support issues.
• Conducts technical and functional analysis of operational problems raised by users, the support center, and/or monitoring tools.
• Reviews the involvement and coordination of maintenance and support activities for applications with vendors and other IT teams.
• Works jointly with stakeholders and other teams (infrastructure, networking, etc.) to find appropriate fixes for existing anomalies.
• Updates system anomaly tickets and makes appropriate follow-ups.
• Participates in the implementation of emergency action plans.
• Produces and updates support documentation and service level agreements.
• Performs all other related tasks as requested by your supervisor.
