Solution Architecture Advisor

Description of the Position

As a Solution Architecture Advisor, you will play a strategic role with clients by contributing to the design and evolution of technology solutions aligned with their business objectives and digital transformation. You will act as an expert advisor to business and technical stakeholders to define, document, and recommend robust, scalable, and adaptable architectures for complex, large-scale environments. You will collaborate closely with management, business analysis, enterprise architecture, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment between business needs, technical direction, and organizational capabilities.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and transformation opportunities to define solution architectures that meet organizational goals.
• Develop and recommend technology solutions integrating business, application, information, and technology dimensions.
• Produce opportunity statements, business cases, analyses, recommendations, and other strategic deliverables required.
• Design and document solution architectures ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture guidelines and organizational standards.
• Support implementation teams in interpreting and applying architectural guidelines.
• Participate in requirements definition workshops, architecture reviews, and decision-making committees.
• Assess the organizational, technological, and operational impacts of proposed solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture practices and the maintenance of technological governance.
• Collaborate in delivery contexts using Agile approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban.

Education

• Hold a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience
• Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the information technology field.
• Accumulate at least five (5) years of experience in solution architecture within complex and large-scale environments, ideally in the government sector.
• Have completed at least two (2) assignments involving the definition of solution architectures in connection with opportunity statements and business cases.
• Have produced strategic documents and deliverables for large-scale organizations in the public or private sector.
• Have participated, in the last three (3) years, in projects implemented using Agile methodologies or equivalents (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban).

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This position is currently vacant.
