Part-Time Teaching Assistant

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, 35 professors-researchers, 11 teaching assistants, and an engaged administrative team contribute daily to the excellence of training over 1,000 students. We are currently looking for a teaching assistant to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis (80% or 28 hours per week).

Responsibilities

Under the vice-dean of academic and student affairs, you will primarily assume responsibilities related to the supervision of stages carried out in community, hospital, and other pharmaceutical practice environments.

This role will allow you to directly observe the professional evolution of students and actively contribute to their development. The mentoring relationship plays a central role in these functions, particularly through the support of individuals facing difficulties and the assistance provided to achieve learning objectives in a professional setting. Being part of the internship team also involves participating in the development and evolution of pedagogical and organizational practices of the program. You will collaborate on various committees and working groups.

Required Degree

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from a Quebec university

Relevant Experience

• At least 3 years of practice in a community or hospital setting in Quebec
• Experience in pedagogy, teaching, and/or mentoring students in a professional or internship setting will be considered an asset.
• A master's degree will be considered an asset.

Specifications

• Be registered with the Quebec College of Pharmacists
• Master the usual computer tools (Office Suite) and be familiar with virtual communication platforms (Teams, Zoom)
• Employment Conditions

Start date: September 7, 2026.

Employment regime: 80% (28 hours per week). Working hours are generally distributed between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Depending on the Faculty's evolving needs, an increase in the employment regime may be considered.

Salary established in accordance with the collective agreement, based on experience.

Work mode: On-campus presence is required for all activities involving students as well as for meetings and committee work. Therefore, the position is mostly carried out in a face-to-face setting.
