Full-Time Server

Your role:

You will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and serving customers efficiently in the dining room.

As a server, you will need to:

Greet and warmly welcome customers in the dining room; take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service procedures.

Serve dishes quickly and professionally; follow food safety and hygiene standards. Keep track of orders to address any additional needs or requests.

Demonstrate perfect knowledge of the dishes offered on the menu and their ingredients. Advise customers on appropriate food and beverage pairings when requested; respond to reasonable requests and note their preferences.

Demonstrate knowledge of specific dietary regimes.

Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are served correctly and special requests are noted.

Handle complaints or issues quickly, and transmit relevant information or complaints directly to your supervisor.

Ensure the restaurant dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep the premises clean and tidy while following established hygiene standards.

Collaborate with staff from other services to complete tasks required during special events and receptions.

About you

You have previous experience in the food service industry.

A food handling certificate or equivalent provincial certification is an asset.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy and hot objects.

The hourly wage for this position is $19.00. The final remuneration will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
