Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, the world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacture of major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot blasting, and surface treatments.

The tasks include:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts where polishing operations are outsourced and verify the documentation.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts where process operations are outsourced (HVOF, Nickel, Chrome, ...) and verify the documentation.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts following established work instructions and verify the documentation.
• When applicable, perform touch-up of the parts.
• Perform other tasks related to handling and receiving/shipping.
• Create, if necessary, non-conformity reports in the QIS system.
• Communicate, if necessary, with Quality Suppliers, Methods, Procurement, and Planning teams.
• Record transactions in SAP.
• Ensure sampling of part inspections.
• Perform other tasks related to receiving/shipping.
• Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma (no equivalency accepted)
• 2 years of experience in visual and dimensional inspection
• 2 years of experience in polishing or honing
• Technical Skills:
• Ability to inspect polished parts (finishes, radii, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles
• Ability to write Non-Conformities in QIS
• Knowledge of our various parts and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Part-time shift, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the shift may change (evening, night, or weekend)

• The hourly wage for this position starts between $26.91 and $36.59, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring skills related to the position, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $40.62.
