Night Shift Production Supervisor

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for making constant rounds and documented internal audits to ensure that work is carried out correctly according to established directives, standards, and safety, quality, and productivity guidelines. Responsible for implementing appropriate measures and following up until the situation is corrected.

Track performance indicators.

Apply and ensure compliance with the SQF program.

Ensure that work is carried out correctly according to established directives and safety and quality guidelines, that any issues are reported immediately, that reports are properly filled out, and that follow-up is done until the situation is corrected.

Strictly apply the company's guidelines and policies regarding Health, Safety, Maintenance, and Hygiene (HSMS) and secure operation of equipment.

Contribute to the improvement of the SST management system by identifying any hazards and participating with the operator in a daily inspection at the beginning of the shift of the work areas. Ensure that employees adopt safe behaviors.

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production teams to ensure compliance with quality, productivity, and safety goals.

Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve optimal performance.

Ensure the scheduling of shifts, allocation of resources, and management of priorities to meet production requirements.

Monitor the condition of machines and actively participate in their preventive and corrective maintenance (bag machines, cutting equipment, etc.).

Identify mechanical problems, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with technicians to ensure uninterrupted production.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal policies, and environmental regulations.

Participate in the continuous improvement of processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Maintain production reports and analyze performance to recommend corrective actions.

Job Requirements

Minimum SEC V completed or a DEC or experience on bag machines is an asset.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Solid experience in industrial mechanics (hydraulics, pneumatics, or equipment specific to the paper industry).

Ability to diagnose and quickly resolve mechanical problems.

Experience in a unionized environment will be considered an asset.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Good mastery of computer tools and production management software.
