Extrusion Operator Assistant

Under the direction of the plant manager, the extrusion operator assistant is responsible for assisting the extrusion operator in the operation and proper functioning of the machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare materials, ensure they are the correct materials, and bring them to the machine.
• Record inventory transactions and returns if required by the operator.
• Participate in machine setups and command changes.
• Prepare the next job(s).
• Participate in equipment cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Keep work areas clean.
• Ensure compliance with current SST regulations and standards.
• Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Forklift operator training, an asset.
• Ability to learn all aspects of operator work.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Sense of organization.
• Safe behavior.
• Meticulous.
• Good observation skills.
