Contract Type: Permanent A career as an Associate Director or Director, Business Integration within the New Products and Activities team of Banque Nationale's Capital Markets involves acting as a strategic partner in the implementation of new products and business initiatives. In this role, you leverage your expertise in securities trading and financing activities to drive the analysis and integration of high-impact initiatives, influencing key decisions related to the design of operational models, risk management frameworks, and integration strategies. This position allows you to have a direct impact on the organization by fostering business growth while ensuring the implementation of robust operational, regulatory, and risk management frameworks.
Your Role
- Lead the evaluation and integration of new securities trading and financing products and activities, contributing to the definition of end-to-end operational, regulatory, and risk management requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of trading structures, financing operations, and business objectives to challenge assumptions, ensure the robustness of solutions, and influence decision-making.
- Contribute to the definition of target operational models and formulate strategic recommendations that promote sustainable and scalable growth.
- Adopt a corporate-wide perspective to balance business objectives, operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory requirements, while influencing partners and stakeholders to align strategic directions and implement sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Foster alignment and collaboration among key stakeholders, including Operations, Technology, Risk Management, Legal, Finance, Treasury, and other relevant functions.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, controls, implementation plans, and deployment strategies, while proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues, and escalating significant concerns to appropriate stakeholders and governance committees.
- Your Team
This position reports to the Senior Vice President responsible for transformation and evolution initiatives within the New Products and Activities team of the Capital Markets sector. Our team consists of approximately 45 highly experienced, talented, and engaged professionals. We are distinguished by our strong collaboration, agility, and deep understanding of capital markets activities and operational models.
You will work closely with trading, risk management teams, and functional experts across the organization, gaining a comprehensive view of products, processes, and business strategies. We foster a dynamic environment where learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing are valued.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the capital markets sector.
- Strong understanding of securities trading and financing products (equities, fixed-income securities, repo operations, securities lending, FNB/ETF, structured products).
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end processes covering trading, clearing, settlement, custody, collateral management, and reconciliation.
- Understanding of market infrastructures (clearing houses, depositories, central securities depositories, tri-party agents, and payment systems).
- Extensive experience in leading strategic transformation initiatives at an organizational scale within complex capital markets environments.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
For the Toronto location only, English proficiency is required. Knowledge of French is a plus, but not mandatory.
