Information Technology Analyst positions are professional positions that specifically involve the analysis, development, coordination, implementation, operation, and control of computer systems related to teaching, research, and management.

Minimum job requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of specialization, such as sciences, computer science, or administration.

Other job requirements

• Good knowledge of French (oral and written);
• Knowledge of common software and technological environments;
• Knowledge of information system development using different methodologies;
• Good knowledge of relational database concepts;
• Good knowledge of programming in C#.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in the Visual Studio 2026 environment;
• Knowledge of ASP.NET Core and Blazor programming is an asset;
• Knowledge of RESTFUL service and JSON development;
• Knowledge of mobile application development is an asset;
• Good knowledge of SQL language in the SQL Server environment;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or Tableau software is an asset;
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (Atlassian) project environments is an asset;
• Knowledge of ITIL processes is an asset;
• Regularly meet with stakeholders to target their needs, track projects, and report on their progress;
• Interpersonal communication skills;

Main tasks and responsibilities

• The professional ensures the proper functioning of computer configurations (hardware and software) and communication networks; they design and develop computer systems; they prepare specifications and verify the accuracy of programming; they assess the feasibility of the project, taking into account the expressed needs and objectives, budgetary, structural, temporal constraints, and available configurations; they recommend a solution and plan its implementation; they study existing computer systems and adapt them to the needs of the requesting services.
• They coordinate the implementation of systems and verify the results; they advise users on the use of computers; they contribute to the evaluation and optimization of the performance of computer systems and configurations, as well as infrastructures and telecommunications; they may recommend the acquisition of computer products.
• If necessary, they perform the programming of systems, verify the results, and prepare the appropriate documentation.
• They may supervise support staff, contribute to their training, distribute work, verify its execution, and, upon request, provide their opinion on evaluation.
