The challenges you will face
The Real Estate Transactions and Investment Office (RTII) acts as a real estate expert for various municipal services, offices, and agents. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Acquiring properties needed for municipal services and offices projects.
- Disposing of excess properties.
- Regularizing cases of encroachments on municipal property.
- Consolidating the Laval agricultural heritage.
- Determining market values for the calculation of park, playground, and natural space contributions required under the Urban Planning Act.
- Producing financially aligned analyses with sectoral investment criteria, including supervision of financial modeling.
Under the authority of the division head, you will, as a licensed evaluator, practice in one or both fields of your profession. Specifically, you will:
- Perform, complete, and verify all steps necessary for the evaluation of a property's market value.
- Negotiate evaluation files.
- Write evaluation reports and act as an expert witness.
- Analyze court decisions.
- Visit properties.
- Study and analyze local market trends.
The ideal profile for us
- Member in good standing of the Quebec Association of Real Estate Appraisers.
- Bachelor's degree in administration or equivalent.
- Six years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
