Financial Controller
Ressources humainesDescription
Our client, operating in the medical sector, is seeking an experienced financial controller who will play a key role in restructuring and organizing the financial function. The person will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of financial information, optimizing existing processes, and strengthening internal controls to support the organization's growth.
This mandate includes both operational and strategic dimensions. Initially, you will establish solid financial processes and rigorous management practices. Subsequently, you will contribute to their sustainability and support a potential transition of certain accounting activities to an external resource or firm, as needed by the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure reliable and exploitable financial information: produce, analyze, and explain the monthly financial results of the group of clinics, ensuring data quality, adherence to deadlines, and the consistency of information provided to the financial management.
- Structure monthly closings and performance follow-ups: establish a rigorous end-of-month schedule, document discrepancies, track key indicators by clinic, and prepare analyses necessary for decision-making.
- Contribute to financial planning: prepare budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses for MAclinique Brunswick, in collaboration with the group's financial director and operational managers.
- Support cash management and cash flow: closely monitor liquidity, receipts, payments, and short-term funding needs, then communicate the issues to the financial director to support group decisions.
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes: implement, document, and enforce efficient processes for purchases, billing, payroll, expenses, reconciliations, and approvals, in an environment still in the process of structuring.
- Prepare compliance and verification files: gather the required information for accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations, support requests from auditors, financial partners, or external interveners, and ensure rigorous follow-up of items to be corrected.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: standardize ways of doing things, propose simple automations, improve tracking tools, and prepare an orderly transition of certain accounting activities to an external resource or firm.
- Supervise and coordinate the accounting team: oversee accounting technicians, distribute tasks and responsibilities, and ensure the respect of priorities, deadlines, and established standards for current financial activities.
- Act as a nearby financial partner: collaborate with the operational teams of the clinics to understand the on-the-ground issues, popularize financial information, and support the execution of priorities established by the financial management.

- CPA title, an asset (not mandatory).
- Experience in turnaround, restructuring, or startup environment, highly valued.
- Experience in the healthcare or medical clinics sector, an asset.
