Description

Solution SFT is seeking PCOs who will act as Project Planning and Control Advisors, working on a client project in the public sector in the city of Quebec. The work will be done in a hybrid mode! (Mostly remote work).

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, their structure, and their breakdown into activities:
  • In collaboration with project and operations managers;
  • In compliance with the methods, processes, and practices established at the company;
  • In compliance with deadlines and authorized budgets;
  • In response to organizational changes and changes occurring in projects and administrative units;
  • Using the software and systems in use at the company, including MS Project, Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution, and Azure DevOps
  • Maintain, update, and track plans, activities, and assignments;
  • Monitor production and approval of efforts assigned to plans, produce the relevant reports, and support the involved parties as needed;
  • Contribute to the tracking of purchase orders and contracts;
  • Reconcile financial data with those recorded in the company's accounting systems and correct any discrepancies;
  • Perform the closure of projects and financial years for administrative units
  • Monitor the accounting reporting calendar, perform the relevant activities, and produce the required reports;
  • Produce project and operations performance and management dashboards and indicators and the relevant justifications;
  • Monitor, adjust, and produce financial data related to projects and administrative units;
  • Establish budget projections for projects and administrative units;
  • Identify and justify budgetary deviations

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Project Planning and Control Advisor (PCO);
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years in the field of information technology;
  • Over the past five (5) years, have completed a minimum of 480 person-days as a Project Planning and Control Advisor (PCO), in a maximum of three (3) assignments. Each presented assignment must be part of a project with a minimum scope of 1,100 person-days, carried out in an organizational context with matrix planning and team organization, and in an agile IT project context;
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in supporting users of management tools (e.g., project plans, dashboards, registers, etc.);
  • Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in implementing project planning, tracking, and control techniques based on value-based management, variance analysis, and performance indicators related to time and cost;
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an MS-Project software environment, including one (1) year in an EPM/Project Server environment
