Educator

The person will work in an intermediate resource offering support, assistance, and housing services to vulnerable young people (boys aged 10 to 15) placed by the DPJ of Santé Québec des Laurentides under the Youth Protection Act or the LSSSS. Under the supervision of the manager, the person will assume a role combining intervention and coordination:

• Ensure the comfort and safety of the young people;
• Distribute and administer medications;
• Provide meal services;
• Accompany the young people in daily activities;
• Accompany the young people to their appointments;
• Provide quality presence;
• Supervise the young people in their personal hygiene;
• Lead workshops or clinical activities (for example: anger management);
• Collaborate with various social and health service partners (school, DPJ, health professionals) and parents;
• Develop and implement intervention strategies;
• Participate in clinical discussions;
• Record evolutionary notes in each young person's file;
• Ensure compliance with the code of conduct.
• Coordinate the team's activities
• Participate in scheduling planning and cover shifts as needed
• Ensure administrative follow-up related to resource operations
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Compensation: $23.50 to $27.00 per hour
