Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for executing a range of complex credit management functions for various credit accounts, leveraging your experience and knowledge of fundamental accounting principles. You will work according to general tasks and detailed work procedures, but will need to exercise the judgment and discretion necessary to determine the appropriate course of action. You will also be responsible for ensuring the execution, administration, and management of the authorized credit process, which means ensuring that all loan documents are complete and properly updated, in accordance with the terms of the credit facilities.

How to Succeed
- Credit Knowledge and Analytical Ability - Knowledge and experience in credit analysis and credit risk. Expertise in loan documents and collateral, compliance, verification, and control requirements. Knowledge of CIBC's internal systems and applications (e.g., COINS/COLT, STP, ECM, iCap).
- Collaboration - Maintaining open lines of communication with designated relationship managers. Periodic communication with employees, teams, and internal CIBC services (e.g., Risk Management, Corporate Group) at the peer and management levels to provide and receive information and escalate issues as needed. Periodic communication with external lawyers and Canadian Securities Registration Systems (CSRS) to obtain and clarify information on loans.
- Compliance - Ability to comply with CIBC's regulatory training and ensure that training programs and policies are uniformly applied throughout the company; The incumbent is personally responsible for complying with all these regulatory training and governance programs.
