Full-time permanent position 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, you will join a team of nine (9) people. You will assume a key role combining accounting tasks, inventory control, and understanding of business operations to ensure the accuracy of inventories and support daily decision-making. More specifically, you will assume the following main responsibilities:
- Monitor, adjust, and reconcile inventories to ensure the accuracy of data.
- Follow up with field staff regarding billing errors in platforms and conduct research to propose solutions.
- Prepare and account for inventory-related entries, sales, and make the necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient information flow and common understanding of issues.
- Participate in end-of-month activities, including inventory closure and preparation of financial reports.
- Produce reports to support profitability improvement, operational efficiency, and strengthening of internal controls.
- Update margin files and contribute to the continuous improvement of associated processes.
- Provide support to inventory tool users, resolve issues encountered, and make the necessary adjustments.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and contribute to the accuracy of operational data.
- Take on some billing activities and collaborate on the issuance and tracking of leased equipment contracts.
- Perform other administrative tasks related to accounting operations, as needed.
Requirements
- College diploma in accounting or any other relevant training combined with relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and inventory management or a similar position
- Experience in a distribution or manufacturing company
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge and ease of use with ERP and accounting systems
- Deep understanding of the impact of transactions on general ledgers and financial statements
