Growing within our Site Characterization and Restoration (CRS) group offers the opportunity to participate in significant projects, including some of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Quebec (e.g., REM, ALTO, etc.) and Canada.
Your Role
- Supervise the activities of the Quebec CRS team by ensuring a collaboration-focused leadership and establishing a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
- Support the director in recruiting and retaining staff to build a high-performing team, including strategic hires as needed, based on workload and market requirements;
- In collaboration with the director, maximize the utilization of the group while ensuring a healthy work-life balance by coordinating resources with other supervisors;
- Serve as the direct interface between clients and AtkinsRéalis project teams and/or regulatory bodies, and support the team in understanding client objectives, technical and administrative protocols, and applicable regulations for the work/projects;
- Manage high-level projects and service proposals (including developing the technical program, managing personnel and resources, overseeing budgets and deliverable timelines, implementing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met);
- Support the implementation and ongoing use of the company's quality assurance programs and policies and procedures, including ethics and compliance;
- Implement rules and procedures to ensure the health and safety of employees and the environment and to prevent workplace incidents. Additionally, with a focus on continuous improvement, be proactive in identifying and improving health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent hazards related to your work.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, or other environmental specialties;
- More than 15 years of practical experience in CRS;
- Demonstrated aptitudes in managing technical and professional personnel as a team lead or multidisciplinary project manager;
- Strong communication and clear leadership skills demonstrated, and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor technical and professional staff at various career development levels;
- Solid knowledge of Quebec and federal environmental standards, regulations, and laws, where applicable.
