One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal.

Summary

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Inspect, repair, overhaul, test and certify aeronautical hydro-mechanical, mechanical and electrical components, safety related components and related equipment and systems. Train and recommend qualification by OJT.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform tests on different components;
  • Diagnose problems and identify the elements to be repaired/replaced;
  • Establish the work estimate to be performed;
  • While following the procedure manual, perform maintenance, repair or overhaul of the component;
  • Perform tasks for which he/she is certified and as per the established standard time, utilization and efficiency guidelines;
  • Follows-up as required on snags, tasks, repairs and rectifications that have been assigned to him/her;
  • Provide status of work including special update requests as required;
  • Provides on the job training as requested by the Cell Lead;
  • Certifies proper use of equipment, work methods and procedures as well as safety practices;
  • Ensures Employee Health & Safety standards are followed and maintained;
  • Liaise and co-operate with other cells or departments as required.
  • Stay informed of messages, updates and directives from the employer and responding when needed, regardless of the channel used.
  • Perform other tasks related to their position.

Job Requirements

  • DEP in Mechanical Assembly or DEC in Aircraft Maintenance or a related field.
  • Relevant experience will also be taken into account.
  • Clear communication both written and verbal (Bilingualism, French and English, is required for reading and understanding the Components maintenance manuals);
  • Team Oriented (e.g. co-operative attitude for process improvement and problem solving);
  • Production oriented (e.g. ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures and to complete work requirements based on established KPIs);
  • Accountability (e.g. is responsible for his/her work and is an active participant in the cell’s ability to achieve its goals);

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize his/her workload based on the company objectives and priorities.
