We are seeking a Demand and Supply Planner who will play a key role in maintaining strong forecast accuracy across Nespresso's entire Canadian portfolio. This role is crucial to ensuring high levels of customer service through optimized inventory, while minimizing distribution costs. As an expert in the end-to-end (Plan to Execute) process and monthly forecast review, you will work closely with commercial, financial, and supply chain teams to support effective decision-making.

A Day in the Life of a Demand and Supply Planner

  • In this role, you combine analytical rigor with strong interfunctional collaboration.
  • You lead and facilitate the monthly business planning cycle (MBP), challenge assumptions, highlight risks and opportunities, and contribute to establishing consensus on the demand plan.
  • You actively monitor forecast performance, stock levels, and supply plans, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency and shelf availability across Canada.
  • You also act as the voice of Canada to Nespresso's global production and allocation teams, proactively identifying supply gaps, quantifying associated risks, and advocating for supply plan adjustments to ensure Canadian business needs are fully supported.
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Success in this role is measured using key planning and service metrics, including:
  • Forecast accuracy and bias (M1 / M3)
  • Demand plan accuracy (DPA)
  • Stock coverage
  • Stock availability
  • Stock rotation (working capital)
  • Target customer service levels (fill rates)
  • Waste and destruction

With a strong focus on sustainability, you will be responsible for proactively identifying product expiration risks at least three months in advance and collaborating closely with Marketing teams to accelerate product flow, aiming for zero waste and zero product destruction.

You will also be responsible for producing timely, high-quality performance reports and actionable analyses to support operational and commercial reviews.

You Will Also Have To

  • Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional partners
  • Contribute to product portfolio and lifecycle management (launches, gradual introduction/gradual withdrawal, discontinuations)
  • Proactively manage inventory and supply risks
  • Ensure optimal stock allocation across our distribution network (4 distribution centers) to support high service levels for our retail stores and e-commerce activities across Canada
  • Balance availability with network constraints, contributing to optimizing execution flows and delivery costs while maintaining healthy stock levels.
  • Act as a change agent; you will lead or support process improvements, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with Nestlé and Nespresso standards, ethics, and quality requirements.

ESSENTIALS

  • A positive, solution-oriented attitude, bringing strong energy, optimism, and a collaborative spirit to complex challenges.
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive and successful experience in supply chain, including demand planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI
  • Team spirit, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with all functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a highly organized approach
  • Bilingualism (English and French)

ASSETS

  • Experience in a similar environment to an international company
  • Knowledge of tools: OMP, IML, APO
  • Experience in implementing LEAN concepts and tools
